River Ness Flooding
Some photos of the recent flooding of the River Ness, through Inverness
The Ness Islands, almost completely underwater

Unfortunately, some properties were also flooded, such as these on Huntley Street

Other flooded properties in Douglas Row were protected by sandbags on top of the existing defences, but this was not enough.
Downstream, at Huntley place, the flooding was worse.

The weir under the railway viaduct, with a torrent of water pouring over it.

Some ducks taking refuge from the receding floodwaters.
