Block IntelliTXT advertising in Firefox
Another form of annoying advertising blocked thanks to the excelent Adblock extension for Mozilla Firefox.
IntelliTXT appears to be a per website script, that adds links into the page using DHTML popups. Not a huge problem, but annoying all the same as the script reformates the page puting horrible green links everywhere. More info on this at their website.
To block this, first install the Adblock extension, then add the following entry in the adblock preferences which blocks all scripts from their servers: http://text.burstnet.com/*.js
For those new to Adblock, you might want to save the following to a plain text file, and import* into adblock:
[Adblock]
*/ads/*
*/adv/*
*/adverts/*
*/banners/*
<strong>clickTag</strong>
http://ad.*
http://ads.*
http://adverts.*
http://media.fastclick.net/*
http://text.burstnet.com/*.js
http://view.atdmt.com*
http://www.tek-tips.com/jsource.js
* to import, open adblock preferences Tools -> Adblock -> Preferences and click on Adblock Options -> Import filters...
