Texting levels reach record high
“Mobile phone users in the UK sent a record 3.3 billion text messages in May, figures show.” BBC NEWS | Technology | Texting levels reach record high
That’s an average of over 100,000,000 text messages per day or about 1,200 per second! Or a lot of people with repetitive strain injury on their thumbs.
As for me, I send closer to 3.3 text messages per month on average :)

At the end of June I rang up 3 to ask how many of my free 150 texts and 600 minutes I had left. 145 and 350 minutes it turns out. Got ‘em to knock a fiver of my bill.
