BBC News irony
The BBC NEWS article – Time stands still on clock repair has the following text
A project to enable one of Scotlands oldest clocks to show the correct time is under way.
...
The 400-year-old timepiece in Douglas village, Lanarkshire, is said to be the oldest working clock in the country.
Surely if it is being repaired, then it is no longer “the oldest working clock in the country”! I’m not sure if the irony was deliberate.
