Mockup of micro-flat for London
Following on from the BBC News story about the extremely small flat in London, “SimpleSimon” has made a mock-up of a possible design using Google Sketchup: London Flat – a photoset on Flickr.
There is some interesting discussion on how to improve the design, the options for a smaller wet-room with toilet are especially interesting. I would have thought a folding wall-mounted bed would have solved the headroom/claustrophobia issue.
Maybe this is how we will all be living in the future, if house prices keep going the way they are at the moment!
A flat roughly the size of a snooker table has gone on sale for £170,000 in London’s upmarket Chelsea.
