George Monbiot discusses in his article “Giving Up On Two Degrees” how the governments of the western world are manipulating the figures, so that they appear to be meeting their greenhouse gas emission targets. But not that they are trying to meet the wrong targets.

For those of us who live in this country, this is being done in our names. Go out and vote tomorrow, and vote for a Green Party MSP/councillor. Not so that we have a government run by the green party, which I don’t think is in anyone’s best interest; but so that environmental issues get a voice.
