Poppy pins
Why do they have to put stupid plastic pins on the armistice poppies this year? Unless you happen to have a jacket with a button hole (which I don’t) then you cannot (easily) show your respect for those who fought in the great wars.
Before you comment, I know that it is probably for “health and safety” reasons, as we cannot be trusted with sharp implements anymore. Or perhaps it is to reduce the theat from terrorists with pins™!
Next year they will probably have single-use red poppy stickers, although some people may be alergic to the adhesive…
