These are some paintings and drawings by Jean Noble, a painter and art tutor, living in Newtonmore.
She graduated from Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen where she won the Founder's prize and the Governor's prize.
Jean's art has always been a mixture of realism and imagination. Recently, trees have provided a theme which lets her combine a love of nature, with an imaginative insight into visual analogies and recurring patterns. More...

Tore Art Gallery opened in November 2004 at the former Free church at Killearnan on the Black Isle. It is not far from Tore roundabout, and is conveniently close to the A9.
Tore Art Gallery aims to be friendly, inviting and interesting for everyone who comes through the door. It will cater for lovers of modern art, as well as the holidaymaker looking for a reminder of the Highlands. The main proviso is that all the work on show will be good of its kind.
There was a major exhibition of Jean Noble's work at the Tore Art Gallery in May 2006. Georgina Coburn has reviewed the exibition, and this is available on the Hi Arts website.
