Drawing From Scottish History

These pen and ink drawings show Jean Noble's interpretation of life in Scotland in the 17th and 18th centuries, participating in typical scottish activities. In these drawings, the people have been sent back in time by means of their clothing, which Jean invented, after considerable research from books, and from paintings by Scottish artists of that time.
