Drunk on Bramble Wine (Bramble)

DRUNK ON BRAMBLE WINE uses images from the Bramble: berries, leaves, and the magnified cells of the leaf. The bramble is not strictly a tree, but it was a northern substitute for the vine. Brambles were used by the Celts to make an intoxicating alcoholic beverage. However, they also imposed taboos on its use. The tenth Celtic month extended through September and includes the autumn equinox.
