“Spring Gorse (Gorse)”

SPRING GORSE uses images drawn from Gorse: flowers and spines. The gorse is positioned in the Celtic Calendar at the Spring Equinox, when its golden flowers symbolise the increasing power of the sun. The prolific brightness of the blossom brings hope and energy after the winter months. The radiating spines of gorse also echo the rays of the sun. It is a thorny plant and so has protective attributes.
