Changing the clocks

Campaigners are again talking about changing the time system, as reported on the BBC...

Ms Harding added that in the height of summer the sun rises at 0400 BST, while most people are asleep and “sets while we are still enjoying our evenings”.
“Matching the daylight hours more closely with our living patterns would give us a greater opportunity to enjoy ourselves, get active and stay healthy,” she said.

The obvious answer, with no associated cost, is for people to just get up earlier! We have changed our habits over the past few hundred years, with the advent of the electric light, to stay up well past sunset. If we want to enjoy more of the natural sunlight, why don’t we just match our activities to the daylight, rather than messing about with our clock system!

DUH!
