Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients:

  • 100g Smoked bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 Large clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 325g spaghetti
  • 140ml double cream
  • 75g Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method:

Time: 20 minutes, Serves 2-3

  1. Dry fry the bacon until just brown (possibly using a little oil). Add the garlic and onion and cook until tender, stirring all the time.
  2. Cook the spaghetti as directed (8 – 12 minutes, with 15ml tbsp oil) drain.
  3. Combine cream and 50g of the Parmesan cheese until a smooth mixture is formed.
  4. Put all in a serving dish and mix together. Season to taste. Serve immediately.
