Tuna Pie ∞
A quick and tasty tuna pie, with potato and cheese topping.
Ingredients
Per portion…
- 1 small tin tuna chunks, drained and mashed
- Portion of potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped finely
- Handfull of grated cheese
- Small lump of butter
- Seasoning to taste
Method
- Boil the potatoes until just cooked, then mash. Meanwhile gently fry the onion in butter until soft.
- Add the fried onion to the mashed potato and mix through.
- Place the tuna in the base of a casserole dish, and add layers of cheese and potato, starting and finishing with cheese
- Bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 mins, until the cheese starts to crisp, then serve.
Optionally add a dash of tabasco sauce to the tuna for a slightly spicy taste
